SACRAMENTS

The seven sacraments – Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Reconciliation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick – are the life of the Catholic Church. Each Sacrament is an outward sign of an inward reality instituted by Jesus which imparts a special grace. In worship, we give to God that which we owe Him; in the Sacraments, He gives us the graces necessary to live a truly human life.

Before you schedule any formal dates for Sacraments, sacramentals, or blessings, you need to speak with one of our priests as many of these require specific preparation. We invite you to learn more about each Sacrament and how to participate in them here at the Northwest Tri-Parishes (in addition to the Seven Sacraments, our priests are available for Funerals, Quinceañeras, Presentaciónes, House Blessings, and Annulments).

Please Note: The Archdiocese of Denver is lowering the age of Confirmation and restoring it to its original place before the reception of First Eucharist. As of the year 2020, the Archdiocese of Denver will be Confirming all children in the Third Grade.   For more information on this, please visit the Archdiocese of Denver’s “Saints Among Us” website: click here to access that page.
