Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a program to get adults (older than 18 years old) Baptized and/or fully initiated into the Catholic faith.  Classes begin annually in the Fall (usually in October) and continue until the Easter Vigil Mass.  The RCIA classes are designed to achieve the following four goals:

  • Initiate unbaptized persons into the Catholic faith.
  • Facilitate the conversion of persons who were baptized in another Christian sect, but now wish to become Catholic.
  • Serve as Sacramental preparation for adult Catholics who have not received First Confession, First Communion, and/or Confirmation.
  • Create an environment where non-practicing Catholics can re-encounter their faith and transition into full participation.

If any of these goals apply to your situation, please contact one of the clergy to get more information.
